The Gridshade is probably the most common shadehouse around. They are also the most economical structure for shade coverings of up to 600 square metres. The Gridshade can be made to fit almost any block, anywhere.

They can be designed with a flat roof or gable roof and have a standard side wall height of 2.6 metres although there are no limits to this. As with all our buildings, the Gridshade has the added advantage of being fully engineer certified to meet local building requirements.

Frames: Our most common Grid size is about 4.3M and utilises 48mm structural grade, galvanised CHS steel. (This steel size may be increased for higher sides or larger grid spans. Posts are either concreted directly into the ground or separate footing tubes can be used. They can even be made to bolt onto an existing concrete slab. Pipes are bolted together with galvanised pipe clamps.

The Gridshade is not suitable for waterproof covers. The covers for these buildings are usually supplied as a flat sheet of fabric and fitted on site. Covers can cover the roof only, or can extend down the sides to ground level.
