Q1. – Will it fit my needs?

With such a wide range of Structures to choose from, all with several different types of cover materials available, whether you need a structure for anything from growing vegetables to vehicle protection, VP Structures will have a Structure to suit almost any need.

Q2. – What does the kit price include?

On our quotations the kit price includes:-

  •  The framework of the structure
  •  All necessary fittings needed
  •  The cover materials
  •  Instruction Manual, and
  •  Any additional items that are mentioned on the quote.

Q3. – Are there any extra costs?

Unless going through council approvals, there are no additional costs or fees for our structures.

Q4. – Are VP buildings easy to build?

Yes - most of our clients erect their own kit. If you are handy (or know someone who is) together with our comprehensive instructions, you should soon be enjoying your new VP building.

Remember if you run into trouble our Customer Service Division is there for assistance. Our Customer Service Division has the additional support of our engineering and building consultants.

Q5. – What if I don't want to build it myself?

If you don’t want to build it yourself, we have a number of fully trained, fully qualified installers that are available for your needs. Our installation team is based in South-East Queensland but travel all over Australia to install our structures. So no matter what area you’re in, our installation team should be trained and be able to complete you structure with the highest quality regardless of your areas conditions.

Q6. – Will it last?

All of our structures are made from high quality steel, and are manufactured to the highest quality. Our structures should last for an exceptionally long time, and our cover materials all have long warranties with the shortest being 5 years.

Q7. – What about delivery?

We use top flight freight companies that deliver to almost anywhere in Australia. While freight is an additional fee, we always try to find the fastest and most cost effective freight company to get it to you.

Q8. – When will my building be delivered?

With our vast range of products with various different sizes it is hard to put an average timeframe on production times, but depending on the factory schedule at the time of your order, we generally allow a maximum of 15 working days to complete any structure. Also please note that if you order a smaller sized structure and there is space in the factory schedule, we can often complete a structure in a few days.

Q9. – How do I order my VP building?

Simply contact your VP Structures consultant and get them to send you a formal quotation for the structure you require. Once you have your quotation you will simply need to sign both the quotation and the terms & conditions and return them, then pay the deposit which will be stated on the quotation.

Once those processes are completed the production of your structure will be underway.

Q10. – What if I need to obtain Council approval before I can build?

All of our structures are fully engineer certified, so there shouldn’t be any problem with council approval. If you do need the approval before proceeding on one of our standard structures, you will need a form 15 for which we will need another signed quote for the form, and a fee of $220 + GST. Once this is received, your individual design drawings will be made and you will be supplied with a form 15 from our structural engineers.

Q11. – How can I pay my deposit?

There are several different ways we accept payment, all of which will be on the quotation you receive. You can direct deposit, pay by cheque, pay cash, or pay by credit card. (Credit Cards do have a 1.5% Surcharge)

Q12. – What maintenance is required?

There is no continuous maintenance required on most of our structures, but regular washing of the covers will undoubtedly lengthen the life of the material. Also if you are to purchase an Econoshade structure, occasionally re-tensioning the roof cable is recommended.

Q13. – How are the structures fixed to the ground?

All of our structures are designed to have footings concreted in ground, but we can customize the footing tubes on our structures to have base plates if you are looking at fixing your structure to a slab. Please note that if you are fixing to a slab, the slab will need to be a minimum of 150mm deep.
